Funky Junk is go!
We are pleased to announce that the Funky Junk depot is now open and ready for business again following some minor flooding earlier in the year due to a leaky roof. The depot - at the Historic village on 17th Avenue - is a joint effort between the Tauranga Environment Centre charitable trust (admin)
Turning Point Trust (day-to-day management) and
Tauranga City Council provide the building.
What is Funky Junk?
For a modest annual fee
Funky Junk members can access a treasure-depot full of donated materials ready for re-use - for example in arty & creative projects. Let your imagination run wild!
How membership of the Funky Junk Depot works:
2009 - 2010 membership fee
$20 individual/family
$50 school/early childhood centre/community group
The membership year runs from October 1 to September 30 each year.

Once you've paid your membership we will send you a membership card and 4 digit keycode for a lock box adjacent to the front entrance-allowing you to access the treasure whenever you want.
Donations of items for the depot are currently accepted 9am-12pm Wednesday's. We aim to provide an additional drop off time as soon as possible.
We are looking for your re-useable arty items that could be used for art projects, we do not accept polystyrene and plastic receptacles.
